Turn your user and API documentation into a podcast

In our upcoming episode on the Cherryleaf Podcast, we’ll be exploring an intriguing development in content creation: AI-generated audio from technical documentation.

We’ve prepared two examples to showcase this technology, and we’re eager to discuss its potential impact and applications.

Note: Both audio files were converted to MP4 format using Camtasia for YouTube upload.

Example 1: Audacity User Guide

We used the user guide for Audacity, the popular audio editing application, to generate an AI-narrated overview:

Example 2: Transport for London API

For our second example, we created an audio overview of Transport for London’s API using only their OpenAPI (Swagger) file as the source:

These examples raise some interesting questions:

  • Is this technology useful for technical communication?
  • Could it revolutionise how we consume documentation?
  • Or is it just a gimmick?

We’ll be diving deep into these questions and more in our next podcast episode. Don’t miss it.
