Our client is in the semiconductor/hardware IT sector, developing products that are used for creating Artificial Intelligence. They are looking for a contract Senior Technical Author contractor to work with their team.
You will create and manage the technical documentation for their hardware products.
The role can be based fully remote in the UK/EU, or you can work from one of their European offices (they have offices in BE, CH, IT, NL, and the UK). In other words, you must be based in the Europe, and already be legally able to work there.
The initial contract will be for six months, with the potential for further contract extensions. Rate negotiable.
You must have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- At least 5 years experience in technical writing, ideally in a complex technology environment.
- Experience of documenting electronics, such as boards or semiconductor hardware
- Familiarity with documentation generation tools such as Sphinx or Read the Docs, and the ability to create content across multiple platforms.
- Experience of using version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
